The Cannes edition of the RIBEX show, which was scheduled to take place for the first time in April 2002, is to be postponed. Steve Harvey, event manager for Ribex, which claims to be the world’s only dedicated rigid inflatable boat show, said that RIBEX had been unable to get permissions needed to stage the show at Port Cannes.
“We still plan to have a version of RIBEX on the French south coast and we are looking at a variety of venues,” Harvey told IBI. He declined to name any potential venues, but said it was unlikely that the show would take place in 2002.
The show was to be an addition to RIBEX ‘s UK show which takes place annually in Southampton. That show is scheduled to take place 17-19 May 2002 at Ocean Village.
