Fairline reveal their new Squadron 65
What they say: “Fairline Boats enhances the Squadron line-up with the launch of the all new Fairline Squadron 65, arriving spring 2009. She will make her first show debut at Southampton in September 2009 and her introduction will offer Squadron customers a 5-model range between 55 and 78 feet.”
What we say: Following the launch of the 55 at Southampton, Fairline has introduced another new model in the 65 due be presented at the Southampton boat show in 2009.
The styling echoes its younger sibling with the sleek lines of the saloon windows, over sized glass panels in the topside and the distinctive rear mounted radar arch on the flybridge.
Other main features include a single level saloon, which is designed to enhance the overall feeling of space as well as a more modern interior design using lighter woodwork and furnishings as well as more angular styling of the cabinetry and furniture. The saloon has a spacious lounging area aft with a small coffee table and a larger dining table forward at the U-shaped dinette.
Accommodation consists of an ensuite master stateroom amidships gaining the full benefit of those large topside windows as well as a “floating berth”. Additionally there is an ensuite VIP cabin forward and a starboard guest cabin, also ensuite. The VIP benefits from huge amounts of natural light thanks to a strip of glass running from the base of the windscreen all the way down to the anchor locker.
At the helm the skipper and navigator are treated to fully adjustable Recaro seats as well as the Fairline system navigator panel allowing control of all the systems on board the boat from a single touch screen.
With twin MAN 1100hp V10 engines 34 knots should be easily achieved, combine this with a typically sorted Fairline hull and this luxurious beast looks set to be a riot out on the water as well.
