With only a few days to go until the world’s largest on-water boat show gets underway, we round up the debutants
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show gets underway next week (30 October – 3 November), and to the uninitiated it can be quite daunting.
More of a boat city than a boat show, FLIBS is the largest on-water event of its kind in the world, with $4billion (£2.5billion) worth of boats on show across more than three million square feet of exhibition space.
It’s so large that the organisers lay on water taxis to help showgoers get between each of the seven zones.
This costs an extra $10 per head, on top of the standard adult admission price of $24. Children aged 6-15 pay just $9 each and under 5s go free. A $2 per head discount is available for those who book their tickets online.
With so much to see at the show, Motor Boat & Yachting has crawled through the exhibitor list to pick out the exceptional boats that you won’t want to miss.
