Former NATO top brass is new BMF chief executive.
The new chief executive of the British Marine Federation is the former director of maritime operations for NATO.
Rob Stevens replaces John Clarke, who is retiring in April.
Stevens was also head of the UKÕs submarine service and headed up a number of policy teams in the Ministry of Defence.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining an award-winning trade association at a time when there are so many opportunities for the marine industry.”
BMF president Peter Methven said: “Rob Stevens comes with a wealth of invaluable experience, which will be of great benefit to the BMF and our members and will ensure the federation continues to address the needs of the British marine industry.
“The BMF is grateful for the commitment and passion that John Clarke has shown to the work of the federation over the past five years, and wish him a very happy retirement.”
