...to include more caravans
The National Boat Caravan & Outdoor Show has announced expansion plans, but not for the boating hall.
The show, held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, in February, has gradually increased the size of the boating area over the past four years, with some big industry players exhibiting at the event earlier this year including Sunseeker, Peters Opal and Essex Boatyards.
The organising team are taking an extra hall to create 20% more space in 2008, but they say this will be reserved for “the show’s core sectors – caravans, motorhomes, boats, park homes, holiday homes, tow cars and 4×4’s, destinations and camping equipment”.
However the team do say the plans will mean more space for all exhibitors.
“As a result of the changes to the show’s format and layout, leading manufacturers are taking extra stand space at the show to display a wider range of the new 2008 models and are undertaking exclusive launches at the February event,” they claim.
Dave Moran, MD, Ocean Media Ltd adds: “We are delighted with the response from the industry and pleased that manufacturers will be launching new products exclusively at the show.”
The 2008 event will open from 10am to 6pm, Tuesday 19 February to Sunday 24 February.
