Two-week 'Cruise in Company' will leave North Wales bound for Dublin on 17 June
Motorboaters are being invited on a free cruise from North Wales to Dublin Bay in June.
The European-funded ‘Cruise in Company’ will run from 17 June to 1 July, and is being organised by North Wales Watersports and the Irish Sea Marine Sector, in partnership with the Irish Sailing Academy.
“The event is open to newcomers to cruising, as well as old hands. All people need to take part is a suitable vessel and the desire to enjoy a week or two’s cruising in safety with fellow boaters, in a fabulous part of the world,” said Stuart Gibson from North Wales Watersports.
“It’s free to enter and we are laying on a qualified yachtmaster as leader, with a mother ship to show the way and look after any stragglers. All people have to pay is their own costs.
“Local sailing clubs in Wales and Ireland are also hosting programmes of social events, so it will be an excellent opportunity to make new friends, discover new cruising areas and marinas.”
Participants will have the option to extend their cruise by going on to join the ‘Goodwill Raid’ to Brittany, which starts from Holyhead on 24 June.
