VIDEO: A five-metre-long shark left teethmarks after taking a bite out of a fishing boat
Three men had a lucky escape after their boat was attacked by a great white shark. The men had been swimming by the motorboat off the coast of Busselton, near Perth in Western Australia less than an hour before the five-metre-long shark appeared and began circling around.
One of the men, Mark Kick, said the shark then swam away but returned a short while later. After circling the boat a couple more times it then attacked the boat’s outboard engine leaving teeth marks on the propeller hub.
Fearful of what the shark might do next the men started the engine and headed back to shore at high speed, leaving the hungry predator to find a meal elsewhere.
