The Med’s first eco-resort will open in southern Italy next year.
Work is already underway to create the marina and extensive surrounding grounds, which include unspoilt beaches, a wildlife reserve, botanical garden and dolphinarium.
Marinagri lies in the province of Matera at the centre of the Ionian arc, the stretch of coastline that forms the arch of the Italian boot.
It is an hour by car from Bari and Brindisi airports.
The developers call it the “new centre of reference for European navigation”.
