A special delivery of a Jeanneau Prestige 38S marks the start of the Cruising Club season
There’s an air of excitement in the MBM office today as pictures emerge of our brand new sportscruiser arriving in Swanwick.
This year our Cruising Club control boat is a Jeanneau Prestige 38S, which presents a new challenge for our Cruising Club leader, Neale Byart.
“The Jeanneau 38S is a real break from tradition after more than 10 years of running flybridge boats,” said Neale.
“Not only is it our first sportsboat, it is our first boat with drives rather than shafts and with CMD Axius joystrick control. A completely new driving experience awaits!”
It’s just over a month now until the first Cruising Club event, which will see around 25 boats navigate the Channel Islands with many members making their first jaunt across the English Channel.
This nine-day cruise will take in the islands of Guernsey, Jersey and Herm as well as the French ports of Cherbourg and Carteret.
The Cruising Club offers a chance to cruise with like-minded people and gain experience, with the MBM experts on hand to offer valuable help and advice.
The party will gather in Portsmouth on 28 May for an early evening brief and all seaworthy boats capable of making extended sea passages are welcome.
