Club picks up Best Reader / Audience Engagement gong at last nights IPC Media Editorial Awards
The MBM team were thrilled to pick up the award for Best Reader Engagement at the annual IPC awards in London. Carl Richardson, MBM editor, said: ”This award is for the MBM crews, past and present, who have worked so hard to deliver fantastic events, and for the thousands of participants, who have made the club such a joy to be a part of.”
Celebrating 25 years of cruising in company, the Club was formed to help boaters gain cross-Channel and navigational experience, as well as having a fine time on the water. Over the years some 6300 people have joined the club, with 2258 boats included in the 100 events run so far.
The 2012 Cruising Club campaign kicks off on the 4th May, heading for the Channel Islands. Next we visit London, joining in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant with a weekend event at St Katharine Docks. The Big Cruise this year runs from the 23rd June – 8th July, heading to Brittany via the Channel Islands.
