Helicopter spots 'whale' that turns out to be an out-of-control boat
A boat was left on spinning on full power when the helmsman lost control and fell overboard. A helicopter pilot flying above spotted the unmanned RIB just off the coast of Perth, Australia. The pilot, Brent Campney, told BBC News, “I actually thought it was a whale, it was a bit late for the whale season but it looked really strange.”
Campney called the Coastguard and a local vessel rescued the man, who is said to be recovering well and in the market for a kill cord.
