Local men plan victory for home crowds
Local man Baz Minns of Christchurch will battle it out on home turf this weekend as he competes with pilot Mick Pritchard in the Bournemouth Zapcat Grand Prix.
The weekend’s event will see the Zapcat fleet return to Bournemouth for the second time this year, to contend rounds nine and 10 of the National Championship.
Racing will start at 12 noon on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September in front of Bournemouth’s oceanarium, next to the pier.
2006 Zapcat Rookie Champions Baz and Mick got off to a flying start in the opening rounds at Bournemouth securing a fifth position and a second. Since then they have gone from strength to strength and now have a 208 point lead over their closest rivals.
