Pertti Leppala is hoping to recruit a team to race in the UIM World Class 1 offshore championship
Former Formula 1 powerboat driver Pertti Leppalla is hoping to put a team together to race in the UIM World Class 1 offshore championship. Leppalla said that with sponsorship from a company specialising in auto cleaning products, he plans to take part the next round of the championship series, the Norwegian Grand Prix in Arendal on July 21-22, before joining up with former F1 motor racing driver Mika Salo in Italian Eduardo Polli´’s´ Highlander. The all-Finnish crew will be the first in Class 1 since Finnscrew in the mid 1990’s.
