Boat owners are being asked to have their say on the future of many of the country’s navigable rivers. The Environment Agency is conducting an online survey to help it decide how best to spend funds to maintain and improve 1,000km of waterways.

More than 20,000 boat owners registered to use waterways such as the Thames, Medway, and Great Ouse have already been contacted, but the survey is open to all. Further information can be found at www.environment-agency.gov.uk/navigation

Anyone wishing to take part will need a user name and password to access the survey, and these can be obtained by sending an email request to Ipsos MORI at navigation@ipsos-mori.com. The survey will be available until 7 September.
