Hampshire-based powerboat manufacturer Hunton has been cosying up to the jet set with a month-long display stand at Harrods
Handbags, perfume and designer clothes are the first things that spring to mind when you think of Harrods, but this summer Hunton is aiming to add powerboats to that list.
The Hampshire-based manufacturer is running a stand in the Knightsbridge department store, showing off their latest range of RIBs tenders and powerboats as part of the Made With Love campaign to celebrate British craftsmanship.
Situated just inside Door 3, at the bottom of a short set of escalators, the display features videos of Hunton powerboats in action as well as an iPad display that lets you design your own Hunton.
Interested buyers can also pick up glossy brochures for the 830 Tender, 1005 RIB, XRS37 and XRS43, which has a claimed top speed of 70 knots.
Harrods staff are on hand to answer questions about the company, and CEO Fiona Pool has been joining them on a regular basis.
“We are very excited to have been invited to be a part of this exhibition at Harrods to celebrate bespoke British luxury and craftsmanship,” she said.
Enquiries have been coming thick and fast from casual shoppers and boat fanatics alike, amid rumours of a 52ft powerboat being added to the XRS range in January.
The Hunton powerboats stand at Harrods will run until 14 September, and is situated on the lower ground floor by Door 3 off Basil Street, London SW3.
