148-year-old boatbuilder opens dealership in South of France
Hong Kong boatbuilder Cheoy Lee now have a foothold in Europe with the opening of their first independent European dealer in the South of France, Cheoy Lee Riviera.
The 148-year-old company are hoping the new dealership will help revitalise the brand, which was called “the best yacht brand buyers haven’t heard of” by Nick Lockett, co-founder of Cheoy Lee Riviera.
Cheoy Lee make everything from sportscruiers to superyachts, but the European dealer will focus on the company’s Serenity, Bravo and Global ranges.
The yard’s latest model, the Alpha 76 Express, will also be available. The sportscruiser is a departure from traditional Choey Lee designs and was one of the big surprises at the last Ft Lauderdale Boat Show.
Athos Cleanthous, co-founder of Cheoy Lee Riviera, said: “Anyone who knows about yachts knows that Cheoy Lee has a reputation for quality boats that are strong, stylish and packed with the best that marine engineering has to offer.
“We are working with clients who want comfort married with performance. Quality is the essence of a Cheoy Lee yacht.”
