VIDEO: Reckless tourists boating on Lake Naivasha in Kenya get a bit too close to a group of female hippos
Look what we found on the internet! An angry hippopotamus is caught on camera chasing a motorboat after tour guides steered too close to a herd.
Passengers taking a safari trip on Lake Naivasha said the hippo suddenly charged at a surprising speed, forcing their boat to take evasive action.
Adult hippos are considered to be one of the most dangerous animals in Africa and, despite appearances, are not able to swim but progress by bounding along the bottom.
They can travel at up to 8mph in deep water, but considerably faster in shallow water where this one was encountered.
