The 36ft (10m) Greenline NEO will make its UK debut at Southampton and offers petrol or electric outboard power and three different deck layouts
Greenline will mark its 10th birthday with the launch of a 36ft 5in (10.99m) sportscruiser powered by either twin petrol outboards or a pair of Torqeedo electric motors dubbed the Greenline NEO.
The boat will be available in three distinct styles: Open, Hard Top and Coupe. The Open, as the name suggests, is a traditional open sportscruiser that shares a deck layout with the Hard Top version.
This comprises a generous U-shaped dinette aft and another smaller dining space in the bow with opposed seating and a small drinks table.
Below decks there is an open-plan dinette that has an in-fill to make a double bed with a separate bathroom.
The enclosed Coupe features an upper saloon with a well specified galley including a full-height fridge/freezer and, like its two siblings, four forward-facing seats at the helm.
Since its conception Greenline has had an eye on eco credentials and the NEO continues this trend by offering an electric alternative to the twin 300hp outboard petrol engines that promise a top speed of 42 knots.
The NEO eDrive has a pair of 80hp Torqeedo Deep Blue electric outboards and 61 kWH high performance lithium batteries allowing a maximum range of 40nm at 6 knots and 20nm at its top speed of 16 knots. For inland waterways or lake boating this could prove a popular option.
Greenline ambitiously claims that the NEO’s bathing platform is the largest ever fitted to an outboard powered boat. It has achieved this by mounting the outboards to the transom within the bathing platform.
The platform is hydraulic and has adjustable steps that link it to the cockpit and should make entering and exiting the water safe and easy.
The Greenline NEO will be presented at the autumn boat shows and there is more information about the boat on the Greenline website.
