Jump aboard with interactive exhibitors at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show
The Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show returns to the ExCeL arena from 7 – 16 January 2011 with a new look, a new layout and many exhibitors pulling out the stops to provide interactive experiences around the show.
From hands-on challenges to talks and demonstrations, there will be plenty of activities to get involved in and for the first time the 2011 show will include a marina of up to 70 used boats plus a dedicated watersports zone with a 70m x 24m action pool as its centerpiece.
With the show just around the corner here’s a brief rundown of some of the interactive attractions at this year’s show:
Jeppersen and C-Map will showcase the interactive virtual reality kiosk where visitors can attempt to navigate the globe after selecting a specific port or location.
Old Pulteney, the whiskey makers, is running a ‘Row To The Pole Challenge’ to see how far visitors can row in 60 seconds. There’s a daily prize for the winner of a 12-year-old bottle of Old Pulteney plus runners up prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.
Marlow Ropes is offering the chance for kids to take part in knot-tying classes and the RYA is running a treasure hunt around the show, just pick up a map from their stand.
Secumar will be demonstrating how inflatable lifejackets work. Visitors will be able to try on and inflate lifejackets, before learning how to inspect and repack after use
International Paint’s team of expert antifouling paint chemists will be giving daily interactive presentations in “the paint lab” explaining how antifoulings work and answering all commonly asked questions.
Plus if you visit the show on the last four days (13 – 16 January) you can also access the Outdoors Show and the London Bike Show.
