Opening round of new championship attracts international driver
Former Team Sunseeker driver Andy Wilby switches from the international to national powerboating scene this weekend when he joins Team Shark Energy for the opening round of the P1 SuperStock Championship in Penzance, Cornwall.
Wilby, 31, will be aboard the new 27ft (8.2m) Cougar Sport Racer powered by Mercury XS engines alongside team owner Stuart Cureton in the 300 horsepower class.
The two experienced Hampshire-based pilots have their sights set on a podium finish in the former Honda Championship, now supported in Penzance by a two day music festival.
