The new Ferretti 850 will launch alongside an all new 45-footer at the Cannes show
The Ferretti 850 will make its global debut at September’s Cannes Yachting Festival alongside a new 450, which will be the smallest boat the Italian yard has built for some time.
The hull design of the 850 is based on that of the outgoing 800 with an extended hull length of 85ft 4in (26m) but a construction length below the 24m mark, therefore placing the boat into the category of recreational craft and avoiding the tiresome regulations that can afflict larger boats.
The new look of the 850 is a striking one, with vast amounts of glazing dominating both the superstructure and the topsides.
The flybridge extends well aft over the cockpit with a classy grey hardtop providing some shelter.
This deck is supplemented by a comfortable cockpit and a foredeck living area that includes both a sunpad and large table for private sundowners.
As if all of this wasn’t enough the vast transom door can be lowered down into the water to create a water level beach club when it’s not being used to contain the Williams 385 that can fit in the tender garage.
If you want other toys then the aft section of the flybridge can be cleared of furniture and fitted with a crane and chocks.
