The Ferretti Group has laid out its plans for the year ahead, including a return to the sub-50ft flybridge market with the Ferretti 450
The Ferretti Group used this year’s Dusseldorf Boat Show to lay out its plans for the year ahead, with three new models in the pipeline, the most significant of which being the Ferretti 450.
The new model (pictured above) will be launched in September at the Cannes Yachting Festival and represents a return to the sub-50ft flybridge market for the Italian yard.
Powered by twin v-drive Cummins QSB 6.7 engines (425hp-480hp), the Ferretti 450 should be capable of topping 30 knots.
Ferretti will be offering a choice between twin and triple cabin layouts, both of which come with a full-beam master cabin and a galley-aft main deck.
The launch comes amid rising financial results for the Ferretti Group, with €363m of revenue reported for 2015, up 57% on the year before.
CEO Alberto Galassi told a press conference at the Boot Dusseldorf Boat Show that these results mean that Ferretti Group is now the second-biggest boat builder in the world.
Other new models due for 2016 launch include the Pershing 5X and the Ferretti 850, both of which are also scheduled for a September launch at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
