Fairline CEO "confident and optimistic" about year ahead
Fairline’s CEO, Alistair Schofield, was in bullish mood at the London Boat Show today, as he reflected on the company’s last 12 months and looked forward to the year to come.
Schofield said that by reducing production lines from eight to three, the company has greatly improved efficiency – potential good news for buyers if these improvements in production translate into lower asking prices for the boats.
Schofield also said that the brand is becoming popular in both North and South America, while the Middle East remains a stable platform.
The biggest news for 2013 is the new 48, which will be available in Open, GT and Squadron layouts. The first two models to be launched will be the Open and GT versions, debuting at the Southampton Boat Show 2013. Fairline said forward orders on these models have taken it well into 2014.
All 48s will be IPS-powered and launch details on the Squadron will follow when announced.
