Some initial details of the all-new Fairline Targa 43 Open have been announced including news of two IPS pod-drive options and a £450,000 starting price
The Fairline Targa 43 Open will be available with either IPS500 or 600 and cost in the region of £450,000 including tax when it hits the water in the spring of 2018.
Details released today include a basic sketch of the boat’s profile and hint at what we can expect from the Alberto Mancini styled 43 Open, which was “designed from a blank sheet of paper”.
With either twin 370hp or 400hp motors on offer, the yard claims that the top speed with the larger IPS600 units with be around 34 knots fully loaded.
Further information is being closely guarded but head of design Andrew Pope says of the new Targa: “The 43 was a phenomenally popular boat when originally launched in the late 1990s and we are confident this model for the 21st century will be a worthy successor.
“The two-cabin cruiser will feature an exciting new shape, a light and airy feel and luxurious hand-crafted details, whilst retaining Fairline’s core design DNA and, of course, the robust seakeeping we are known for.”
This year sees the launch of the Squadron 53 and, in the summer, the 63 GTO will hit the water.
