Previously a non-executive director of the company, Gaskell replaces Alistair Schofield as boss
Fairline has named Kevin Gaskell, previously a non-executive director of the company, as its new CEO.
Gaskell has previous luxury brand experience having served as MD of both Porsche Cars GB Ltd and BMW GB.
In a statement, the new boss of Fairline said: “Having supported the strong development of the company over the last year I was delighted to accept the board’s invitation to lead a brand with such a strong heritage.
“I am excited about our new products and plans and look forward to delivering our vision for the future of Fairline to our customers and partners.”
Peter Williamson, chairman of Fairline, added: “The shareholders, Better Capital LLC and Royal Bank of Scotland PLC, are delighted to announce Kevin as CEO of Fairline Boats Ltd.
“His extensive experience working with premium luxury brands puts him in great stead to lead Fairline Boats into what will undoubtedly be an exciting future.”
Previous CEO Alistair Schofield ran Fairline for a little over 18 months after being appointed in January 2012.
On his replacement, Fairline only said: “Following the completion of the operational development that has occurred over the past 18 months, led by Alistair Schofield, the company has announced that Kevin Gaskell has taken over as CEO and will spearhead the second phase of development.”
