All South Coast dealers will relocate to Hamble
Two leading Fairline dealers, Fairline Essex and Fairline Channel Islands have announced the formation of a joint venture to provide “unequalled” sales and service facilities to new and existing Fairline customers along the UK coast from Eastbourne to Bristol.
Motor Yacht Group Ltd, trading as Fairline Southampton, will operate from new 9,000 sq ft headquarters at Hamble River Boatyard, Swanwick. Managed by Trevor Betts, formerly manager of Fairline Port Solent, the new facility is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment and will provide a sales showroom with both land based and on-water display facilities for new and pre-owned Fairlines along with customer service, spares and warranty departments when it opens in late July.
All of the current South Coast Fairline dealer locations including Port Solent, Poole and Shamrock Quay, Southampton will relocate to the new premises during the course of this year.
James Barke, MD of Fairline Essex and Paul Webb, Fairline Channel Island’s Sales Director, both Sales Directors of the new Motor Yacht Group commented: “Consolidating all of the existing operations means new and existing Fairline customers will be able to call or visit one location for access to a vast selection of Fairline boats and experienced personnel, as well as one of the best sales and servicing operations in the region.”
Prior to the creation of the Motor Yacht Group Ltd, Fairline Channel Islands, one of Fairline’s most successful dealers, was responsible for the South Coast locations of Southampton, Poole, Weymouth and Torquay. Fairline Essex, awarded Fairline Dealer of the Year for 2006, looked after the sales and servicing requirements of customers in Port Solent and the surrounding area.
Fairline Essex will continue to operate from their Essex Marina location covering the areas of Essex, Kent, Thames Estuary and East Sussex. Fairline Channel Islands will also retain all sales and servicing facilities for the Channel Islands – Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and Alderney.
