The Royal Yachting Association is looking for a new CEO after the decision by Rod Carr to retire next year
The RYA today began its search for a new CEO after the decision by current boss Rod Carr to retire next year.
The successful applicant will pull in a six-figure salary managing the organisation’s more than 100,000 members, 150 employees and turnover of £18m.
The RYA is the governing body for the sports of sailing, windsurfing, motorboating, and powerboat racing in the UK.
The job posting on the the RYA’s website says the role will require:
– an experienced leader and manager
– a broad knowledge of recreational boating
– excellent inter-personal skills at all levels from grass-roots participants to government ministers
– commercial experience
– the ability to be a strong advocate for the RYA and for the sport
