The new boat will debut at Dusseldorf next year
Meet the new flagship of Elan Marine’s motorboat range – the Elan Power 48.
To be launched at Dusseldorf next year, the new 48 will be the “gem in Elan’s hardtop range”, according to the Croatia-based builder.
Elan promises a few nifty features in the new boat, from a tempered glass retractable roof that can be operated with the flick of a switch, to a hydraulic telescopic passarelle hidden inside the rear walkway.
The builder claims the 48 will have “vast areas of sunbeds”, adding that the boat will be ahead of its time in placing a genuine living area on deck.
The main cabin will feature a king-size bed, while owners can choose to fit a third cabin and sacrifice the below-deck saloon.
Another option is which drive system to choose. The boat is being designed to fit either Volvo’s IPS system, or v-drives. Either way, the 48 should top out at 34 knots.
