Organiser cuts the ribbon on main stage
The Earls Court Boat Show has opened, with organiser James Brook congratulating all those involved in the event.
He said he and many others were delighted to see a new international boat show at the “iconic” venue and promised the event would be held there for years to come.
He hoped the show would also introduce boating to communities new to the marine world.
Former rugby player and current contestant on BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing Kenny Logan, who is an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, praised the show’s association with the charity.
Penny Lancaster-Stewart, wife of Rod Stewart and also an ambassador for the Trust, was also on stage to promote the charity’s work.
