The British Marine Federation’s app for those cruising the Thames has been made free to download throughout National Watersports Month
To celebrate National Watersports Month, the British Marine Federation has made its Explore Thames app free to download until the end of May.
The iOS6 app is available for iPhone, iPad and iPad mini, giving Thames navigators a range of helpful features to aid with their cruising.
This includes an interactive GPS map with local points of interest, from user recommendations to suggested stop-off points for food and drink.
As useful for boat owners as it is for cyclists, fishers, or anyone else using the Thames in their leisure time, the app has an average rating of five stars on the iTunes store and plenty of positive comments testifying to its ease of use.
Developed by BMF Thames Valley and released in January, Thames Explore gained much publicity on the back of the London Boat Show.
