Dorset broker Ben Matley had a wide smile on his face as he wound down after the Miami Boat Show.
We’re assured that his beaming expression was solely to do with his firm 1st4Boats securing orders worth $1 million at the show, and no other reason.
Ben and his sales director at 1st4Boats John Beales sold four models from the US-manufactured Fountain Powerboats range, for which the company is sole distributor for the UK, France and Spain.
Ben and John were joined by some of Fountain’s US publicity team after the show to help celebrate the success.
John, who spearheaded the deals, is keen to cross the Atlantic again: “We will be looking at other similar events in the United States, including Los Angeles.”
We couldn’t imagine why.
