A small dog being carried aboard a boat in America has been blamed for causing a bizarre accident. Michael Gonzalez was driving his high speed bass boat on Lake Taneycomo on 25 April when he was momentarily distracted by the dog.
As a result he failed to notice a floating log, and the boat slammed into it while still on the plane. The boat became airborne, landed on the lake bank and struck a tree, while one of the two passengers was thrown from the boat onto the bank.
Missouri State Water Patrol said that the boat’s driver and this passenger were injured and were transported to nearby hospitals, but the boat’s third occupant escaped unscathed. The fate of the dog was not reported.
