Georgia Watts asks boaters if they can shed any light on disappearance of her dad, Paul Tillyer
The daughter of a Southampton motorboater who disappeared from Town Quay Marina in late December is appealing to boaters for information about her dad.
Paul Tillyer, 64, seen below, was last seen on CCTV heading towards the marina with shopping after leaving a nearby restaurant at around 6pm on 28 December.
His shopping was found on the side of his 54ft motoryacht, Lady of Bali, but the CCTV footage doesn’t show him leaving the marina.
Police enquiries and searches of the marina using sonar have yielded no results.
Now Georgia Watts, Mr Tillyer’s daughter, has turned to the area’s boaters and is asking everyone to keep an eye out for her father.
“I am aware that it’s likely we won’t find him alive,” she told MBY. “We’re settled on the fact he fell into the water and died. It’s just a horrible, horrible accident.
“It’s possible his body has been taken out to sea from the marina. I’m asking for everyone to keep an eye out. We haven’t found him yet and it’s really important to the family.”
Mr Tillyer is described as 6ft 2in, of stocky build and with short grey hair and beard. He was wearing a blue long-sleeve top and blue jeans when he disappeared.
