Over 150 crew members expected to attend

Mike Lloyd, organising chairman of the 2013 Cowes to Monte Carlo Race, has announced the first briefing for the forthcoming marathon will take place on Saturday March 21, 2012 starting at 11am.
It is expected to last in excess of three hours.
Over 12 months ahead of the event, the briefing will be held in the Royal Albert Yacht Club in Old Portsmouth where the final briefing took place for the 2008 Round Britain Race.
The clubhouse is not a large building so with 50 boats already registered plus several teams on the reserve list, a record number of participants will have to be squeezed in.
