Cornish boatbuilder offers new 59-footer in wood, steel or GRP
Cornish boatbuilder Cockwells has released details of its biggest project to date, a 59ft Launch.
The yard specialises in bespoke builds, so customers can have the boat constructed in wood, steel or GRP.
Designed by Andrew Wolstenholme and Dave Cockwell, the 59-footer’s classic, timeless lines should make it hard to put an age to, while customers will be given more or less free rein to fiddle with the interior.
The standard layout provides plenty of curved seating in the cockpit, and a similar amount in the saloon, forward of which is a double helm bench and a single navigator’s seat.
The only place to sunbathe looks to be at the bow, which will be blessed with a huge sunpad.
The galley is below decks, along with the forward master cabin and twin guest cabin to port. A further crew cabin is housed under the cockpit.
If the yard’s Duchy 27 – nominated for a Motor Boat of the Year Award – is anything to go by, the build quality and interior of this new flagship should be superb.
