Windy launches its new performance Grand Zonda, an uncompromising driving machine that's set to be the flagship for the range
Freed from boring practical considerations by the worthy 40 Maestro, designers Dubois Naval Architects and Design Unlimited have been given free reign to come up with something utterly stunning for the flagship of Windy’s performance orientated Zonda range, the Grand Zonda.
Windy has risen to the challenge magnificently with this drop dead gorgeous 40-footer. Low, sleek, sharp and racy, the Windy Grand Zonda looks to be an uncompromising driving machine, a promise that’s backed up by a pair of D6 370 or D6 400 engines that should give a 45 knot top end speed.
Despite its “no compromise” approach, there’s still sleeping for four in two cabins and a large sociable cockpit.
MBM’s boat test editor Nick Burnham was last seen heading for the airport with a glint in his eye and a copy of the Grand Zonda preview brochure in his hand.
