Raymarine YJA Yachtsman of the Year and Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year awards
Transatlantic racer Mike Golding, Chief Executive of the RYA Rod Carr, powerboat champion Shelley Jory and Sam Coombs, who is current Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year, were the first to cast nominations for the prestigious Raymarine YJA Yachtsman of the Year and Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year awards, at the Southampton Boat Show.
Anyone can enter nominations, either directly from www.raymarine.com and www.yja.co.uk, or by picking up a nomination form at boat clubs and RYA affiliated clubs nationwide.
The deadline for nominations is midday on Friday 3 November 2006.
Winners of the Raymarine YJA Yachtsman of the Year and Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year awards will be announced in January 2007.
