Hampshire boatbuilders Buckler’s Hard have announced that they have moved into their new headquarters in Hythe Marina
Buckler’s Hard has moved offices, with the brokerage and refit yard setting up a new headquarters at Hythe Marina.
The Hampshire firm had been based at the eponymous Buckler’s Hard Marina (pictured above) for 45 years, but moved its operational base eight miles north to the Southampton Water facility at the beginning of this month.
In a statement, Buckler’s Hard Boat Builders explained that their new “modern” home (pictured below) features two sealed, heated units, allowing work to carry on throughout the year.
Chris Clayton, managing director of Buckler’s Hard, added: “With the changes, we will be able to offer expanded operations across the sites and within the greater Solent area, continuing the positive growth of the business.”
Hythe Marina is part of MDL Marinas, the UK’s largest marina network, and features 206 berths, a slipway and high-speed WiFi, as well as a boat lift capable of lifting vessels weighing up to 40 tonnes.
Buckler’s Hard will retain a presence at Buckler’s Hard Marina, the 18th century shipbuilding village in the New Forest.
