Peters Opal still trading
Peters Opal chairman Brian Peters will remain as President of the British Marine Federation.
The BMF made the announcement following a meeting this morning in the wake of the shock news last night that Peters Opal has been taken into administration.
Brian was appointed to the role of BMF president in June this year. He has served with the BMF for almost eight years, on the Management Board and National Council, as well as on the federation’s International Committee, which supports the industry’s export efforts.
He also served on the board of National Boat Shows, the BMF’s boat show organising arm, including three years as chairman, helping oversee the running of both the London and Southampton shows.
Administrators KPMG are seeking to sell Peters Opal as a going concern.
