Fishing boat strikes sailing barge
This week’s boat fail video comes courtesy of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and shows a fishing boat crashing into the side of the Alexander von Humboldt sailing barge in the North Sea. Luckily, nobody was hurt and not too much damage was done.
The watchman of the fishing vessel pleaded guilty to one safety charge brought under section 58 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995. He was fined £1,700 plus costs of £6,435.
