MBM visits the city of York, one of the areas worst
hit by the recent heavy rains. After the second wettest year since records
began, the River Ouse has been running worryingly high. Mercifully water levels are now dropping, but boaters are still severely affected, at
York Marina the water level is still 12ft (3m) above usual.
