A six-month-old baby had a lucky escape after his pushchair was blown into the water in a dramatic harbour fall
The BBC reports from Watchet Harbour, Somerset, on a dramatic rescue after a six-month-old baby was blown into the water in his buggy.
Sam Cooper-Stevens spent up to 10 minutes underwater before he was rescued. The dockmaster, George Reeder, a 63-year-old grandfather, jumped into the water to rescue Sam after he heard the mother’s screams.
When he was finally retrieved from the water, Sam was unresponsive, but passer-by Tanya Allen gave him the kiss of life and he started to come round. Sam is said to be doing well in hospital.
