Ancasta to take over from Dickies as Bénéteau South East dealer

The two dealerships will work together to represent Bénéteau in the UK

Two of the UK’s biggest yacht brokerages have agreed a deal to split representation of Bénéteau in the UK.

Dickies, who scaled back operations at the end of last year, will continue to sell Bénéteau boats in Wales and the North West, while Ancasta will step in to cover the South East market.

The agreement will see the two brokerage firms sharing their knowledge and expertise of the French brand.

Ancasta, which has 15 premises across Europe, will stock Swift Trawler, Gran Turismo, and Antares in-board models, and also take responsibility for activities concerning existing Beneteau customers between Poole and Newhaven.

Existing warranty claims will continue to be handled by Dickies, but any new Bénéteau claims will fall under Ancasta’s remit.

Jean-François Lair, export manager at Bénéteau, said: “These changes will ensure their combined infrastructure is best utilised for sales and support for Beneteau power boat ranges.”

Dickies is one of the UK’s longest established boat brokers, with more than 100 years’ experience, but has faced serious problems over the past year due to declining sales and a challenging economic climate.
