Champion yachtsman climbs mast of Hugo Boss
Alex Thomson, 39, the youngest man to win the Clipper Round the World Race at 25, climbed the mast of his yacht, Hugo Boss, in an attempt to outdo his previous stunt of walking on the keel the same yacht.
With strong winds the crew got the boat heeling over as far as they could so that Alex, wearing his sponsor’s suit, ran up the 30m mast, before jumping off in to the sea.
Alex performed his stunt on the keel of Hugo Boss in 2009, but after reports that it could have been faked he did the stunt again with a film crew in 2012.
