A rest day in Fowey for the MBM fleet
Tuesday 18th July
Day 11
Position – Visitors Pontoons, Fowey Harbour
50°20′.028 N 004° 37.778 W
Today the cruise participants had the day to themselves to relax and explore the harbour. Some took the water taxi over to the town and some took their tenders up river. Some participants climbed the steep hill on the Pollruan side of the Harbour, to visit the ruins of the 8th century Chapel on the cliff top. There are spectacular views from the top across the harbour and out to sea.
Tomorrow the fleet will make passage to the beautiful harbour of Salcombe, where the boats will stay for three nights. Some boats have decided to overnight in Plymouth to get reacquainted with marina creature comforts. Claire has arranged a MBM Cruise Dinner at Restaurant 42 during the stay.
