We complete our series on the most exciting launches at the London Boat Show with the Princess 82 Motor Yacht
Making its debut at the London Boat Show, the 82 is the latest addition to Princess’s Motor Yacht range.
Like all the yard’s recent new models, the planing hull is constructed using resin infusion, which ensures superior consistency during the build process as well as a high strength-to-weight ratio.
The benefits are seen in the 82’s performance, which is strong even with the base CAT C32 1,622hp engines, managing 33 knots flat out.
An optional pair of MTU M94 1,624hp engines will match that figure while the largest CAT 1,723hp lumps will push the top speed up to an impressive 34 knots.
The vast deck spaces should mean that guests have plenty of space to do their own thing. If the delights of the enormous flybridge, with its mix of sunpads, seating and wet-bar doesn’t tempt you then there’s the large cockpit or, if you want a little more privacy, the neat bench and sunpad arrangement at the bow.
The saloon combines comfortable lounging space aft with a more formal free-standing dining table for eight.
The owner is treated to a full-beam master cabin with the space behind the bed shared between a large ensuite and a walk-in wardrobe. These also act as a sound barrier between the engineroom and the bed.
There’s a lovely spot beneath the starboard one-piece hull window for the owner to have a quiet breakfast or catch up with paperwork with the sea at eye level.
The rest of the accommodation consists of a VIP in the bow and twin and double guest cabins, all ensuite.
The crew get two berths and a utility area, which can be converted into another two berths if required.
The 82’s looks may be a little sober for some but its elegant proportions, spacious layout and classy interior are bound to win over customers in this price bracket.
One thing you can be sure of is that it will ooze quality from stem to stern and be an absolute pleasure to spend time on. Book your viewing at the boat show now.
