Scandinavian furniture retailer IKEA has set sail in the Solent to promote opening of store
Scandinavian furniture retailer IKEA has set sail in the Solent. The company’s familiar yellow and blue colour scheme now adorns Red Osprey, one of Red Funnel’s Southampton-to-Cowes car ferries.
“Rebranding of the ship is an exciting and innovative method of promoting the opening of the Swedish retailer’s Southampton store”, said Jonathan Green, Red Funnel’s sales & marketing director. Red Osprey will carry its new livery for 12 months, so for that period she will be the only vessel in Red Funnel’s fleet to have blue funnels.
