What could be a bigger adventure than taking a 46ft boat from Gibraltar to New Zealand? The voyage of a lifetime starts here...
Day 1: The adventure begins!
“Voyage of a lifetime” is a phrase that is over-used, but for one couple taking their Nordhavn 46 from Gibraltar to New Zealand, there really is no other description.
Scott and Mary Flanders left Gibraltar on 16 September, and we’ll be following their journey every step of the way, thanks to this unique online “blog”. For the full background, see the article (pictured) in November 2006’s issue of MBM, on sale from Thursday 19 October.
We’ve got a little bit of catching up to do, so look out for a new story every day over the next week or two.
Day 1
