Rest day in St Peter Port
Gone fishin’
Victoria Marina, St Peter Port, Guernsey Position 49°27.31 N 002°32.6 W
Today has been another day of rest and relaxation for the fleet after an early morning weather check revealed a passage to Salcombe would not be possible. Despite relatively good conditions in Guernsey, high winds up to Force 8 were forecast on the south Devon coast.
Sadly rain has dominated play today but cruise participants were still happy to hit the shops (and more importantly the sales) in between the showers. And Daphne and James fromBraveheartdonned their raincoats and caught the ferry over to Herm.
The MBM team used their unexpected rest day to try their hand at mackerel fishing but as Neale and Claire only managed to catch one mackerel each they did the honourable thing and let them go.
Tomorrow morning, as always, we will be looking at the weather for a possible move to Salcombe. We’ll let you know how we get on
