It's been a good day for the MBM fleet on the Veerse Meer

What a beautiful day! Well, despite the boozy dinner last night most people were up early this morning, making the most of the glorious sunshine. The crews of Everso and Rosie frolicked in the water all day, playing with inflatables, a wakeboard and a couple of dinghies – and that was just the adults!
I strolled into the nearby village of Kortgene, a pretty, traditional Dutch town, around lunchtime and spotted several of the fleet cycling through the town and more still stopping to refresh themselves at one of the local bars, while others, includingSmitten, went exploring on the Veerse Meer. It’s a hard life this cruising business.
It’s early evening now and the sun is still really strong – at the pontoon briefing held a short time ago there was talk of some of the boats having a barbeque, which sounds perfect.
Latecomers Donny Rover and Castaway are due any moment and problems with Sunniva and Polimar II, (which had to be lifted out of the water to have a rudder mended) have been resolved. Life is good for the MBM fleet and in the morning we will head to our next port of call, Brouwershaven on the Grevelingenmeer.
